How long did it take to build the pyramids?
The exact timeline for the construction of the pyramids is still unknown, but it is estimated that the Great Pyramid of Giza was built in about 20 years. Historians believe that the pyramid was constructed using an encircling transport or ramp system and tens of thousands of workers who moved large stones from a nearby quarry and dragged them up to their respective positions.
Although the exact timeline is unknown, it is estimated that the other two pyramids at Giza were constructed over a shorter period of time than the Great Pyramid, likely in less than 10 years.
The remaining pyramids throughout Egypt are believed to have been built over periods ranging from several months up to a couple of decades.
